City Creek, Cusick Creek Roads to Close to Motorized Access Nov. 16

Cusick Creek Road gate

The City of Pocatello will be closing a pair of gates to motorized access this week.

The City Creek Road and Cusick Creek Road gates will be closed starting November 16. The annual road and trail closures coincide with similar closures by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.

“City Creek and Cusick Creek roads are closed during this time to protect watershed health,” said Hannah Sanger, Science & Environment Division Administrator. “We want to minimize erosion and other resource damage.”

The gates will be reopened May 15, 2020.

Residents with questions about the closure can contact Hannah Sanger at 208-234-6518.
