City Election Information
The City Clerk of Pocatello is responsible for administering elections for all city-elected offices, which include the Mayor and six City Council seats. The six members of the City Council work part time and function as the legislative body of the city.
The Mayor is the full-time administrator managing the day-to-day activities of the city. The City Clerk of Pocatello is also responsible for auditing all city election campaign financial reports.
Opens: Monday, August 26, 2019 at 8:00 a.m.
Closes: Friday, September 6, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
City of Pocatello elected officials serve 4-year terms. Elections are staggered every two years with the election for Mayor and City Council Seats 4, 5, and 6 taking place separately from City Council Seats 1, 2, and 3. For example, the next election for Council Seats 1, 2 and 3 is 2019, while the next election for Mayor and Council Seats 4, 5 and 6 is 2021.
