June to be Proclaimed “General Aviation Appreciation Month”

Those who take to the skies in Pocatello will be honored at this week’s Pocatello City Council meeting.

At Thursday’s meeting, Mayor Brian Blad will proclaim June 2017 to be “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” The edict seeks to recognize “the many contributions general aviation and the Pocatello Regional Airport make to our community and surrounding areas” and will be read by Councilman Gary Moore.

The proclamation was requested by the Alliance for Aviation Across America and will be accepted by representatives from Pocatello Regional Airport and AvCenter, Inc.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
