Water Department Crews Begin Summer Work Schedule Next Week

Pocatello Water Department

The City of Pocatello Water Department will start utilizing their summer work schedule Monday, March 13.

Scheduled working hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday but emergency personnel will still be available at all hours at 234-6181 or 234-6182. The 10-hour shift schedule allows crews to take advantage of daylight hours and to coordinate work schedules with construction contractors.

Some of the projects scheduled for this year include mainline replacement at Myrtle and Balsam, East Cedar, Hilliard and Ridge, street patching from water line damage during the winter; concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk replacement caused by water service line and meter box repairs; automatic meter reading improvements throughout the city; continued valve and hydrant repairs; and various projects related to water system repair.
