Two Proclamations to be Read at Thursday City Council Meeting

Pocatello

A pair of proclamations focusing on nutrition are set to be read at Thursday’s Pocatello City Council meeting.

The first read by Councilman Jim Johnston will establish the month of March 2017 to be National Nutrition Month® and encourages all citizens to “become more concerned about their nutrition and the nutrition of others in the hope of achieving optimum health for both today and tomorrow.”

The second to be read by Councilman Roger Bray proclaims March 8, 2017 to be “Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day. The decree invites “all citizens to recognize the contributions of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and express appreciation for their commitment to promoting science-based nutrition.”

Both proclamations were requested by Amy Kramer, President of the Pocatello Dietitians.

Thursday’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
