Run with the Big Dogs Moves to April, Sponsors Wanted

Pocatello

Pocatello’s furriest 5K has a new date for 2017.

The Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter’s 20th Annual Run with the Big Dogs will be held April 22 this year. Previously, the event had been held in the fall, and close to the date of the popular Splash Dance for Dogs at the Ross Park Aquatic Complex.

“We’d like to thank The Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter for their continued support of the Shelter and its mission. Run with the Big Dogs is an important event for both of us,” said Kim Velman, Volunteer Coordinator. “Friends is changing the date, because participants have been concerned that they felt they had to choose between one event or the other. We want as many people and dogs as possible to take part in the fun of both events.”

With the change in date, the group is now in search of sponsors and vendors for the event. Interested businesses and organizations can contact Kim Velman at 208-234-6157 or via email at kvelman@pocatello.us.
