It’s about to be very peculiar in nature at the Marshall Public Library. In honor of the recently released film adaptation of “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by Ransom Riggs, the library will host an after-hours Halloween party for local youth. The celebration of all things peculiar will be held Friday, October 28 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and youth in grades 6 through 12 are encouraged to attend in costume. “We will be having a peculiar costume contest and plenty of peculiar activities including a scavenger hunt, and other peculiar things based on the book,” said Kath Ann Hendricks, Young Adult Librarian. An assortment of peculiar refreshments will also be served. For more information on this event, contact Kath Ann Hendricks at 232-1263 extension 109 and more on all the events and activities at the Marshall Public Library can be found at marshallpl.org.
