A delegation of students from Pocatello’s Japanese Sister City arrives in the Gate City Tuesday, July 26. This year’s delegation from Iwamizawa, Hokkaido, Japan will arrive in Pocatello Tuesday evening. The students range in age from 13 to 17. This year will see the delegation visit Yellowstone National Park, rock climb at Ross Park, stop by the Museum of Clean, ride horses at the Bannock County Event Center, and attend various other events and activities around Pocatello and East Idaho. “I am happy to welcome our friends from Iwamizawa to Pocatello and our corner of the world,” said Mayor Brian Blad. “I look forward to meeting this year’s delegation and know they will remember this trip for the rest of their lives.” Delegates will be in East Idaho until Monday, August 8.
