The Morrissey family’s wide range of talents will be on display at this month’s “Music in the Library.” On Saturday, July 9 from 1 to 2 p.m., the clan will be presenting their musical variety show at the Marshall Public Library. Michael and his wife, Shawna, along with their 8 children ranging in ages from 5 to 17 will be performing piano solos including, Frederick Chopin’s “Nocturne” and Billy Joel’s “Root Beer Rag,” string pieces like Michael Giacchino’s “Jurassic World,” Gioachino Rossini’s “William Tell Overture,” and will even delve into folk with “Boil Them Cabbage Down.” The Morrisseys have called the Gate City home for nearly a decade and credit their piano teachers and Pocatello’s numerous orchestra programs for their musical prowess. “Music in the Library” is free to the public and for more information or if you are interested in performing at the library, please call Amy Campbell at 232-1263 ext. 106.
