The City of Pocatello along with other organizations will be hosting a free Fair Housing Workshop next month.
Citizens, housing providers, real estate professionals, government officials, and anyone else who may be interested in fair housing law are invited to attend the workshop in the City Council Chambers at Pocatello City Hall Tuesday, April 26. Scheduled to speak at the seminar are representatives from the Intermountain Fair Housing Council along with attorneys who specialize in fair housing law.
“The workshop will cover fair housing law from a provider perspective, fair housing responsibilities, and more,” said Cass Fonnesbeck, Grants Administrator in the Neighborhood and Community Services Division at the City of Pocatello. “Once they are done with the class, attendees will have a good overview of their rights and obligations when it comes to the law.”
Check in will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the training set to begin at 8:30 a.m. The session will run until approximately 4:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online here.
City Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. Program access accommodations may be provided with three (3) days’ advance notice by contacting Dave Hunt at firstname.lastname@example.org; 208.234.6248 or 5815 South 5th Avenue, Pocatello, ID.
