The annual clean-up of Pocatello’s two City operated cemeteries has been set for next month.
Starting April 4, crews will begin the process of removing and discarding decorations and flower placements that have been left on graves at Restlawn Cemetery and Mountain View Cemetery.
“The clean-up allows us to keep the cemeteries as pristine as possible,” said Martin Peace, Cemetery Sexton with the City of Pocatello. “Our goal is to make sure the cemeteries serve as worthy resting places for our friends and loved ones.”
The process of cleaning the cemeteries will take about a month, so people who have left decorations on graves have time to retrieve their items. Once the clean-up is finished, the decorations can be placed back on the grave.
