Leaders from East Idaho will be stopping by Pocatello December 15 for the Eastern Idaho Legislative Forum co-hosted by the City of Pocatello, Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce, and the Eastern Idaho Water Rights Coalition.
During the daylong event at the Clarion Inn in Pocatello, state and local leaders will discuss issues like urban renewal, water rights, and Medicaid expansion. Also on the docket is a preview of what is to come during the Idaho Legislature’s 2016 session from state representatives and senators.
“The forum gives us a chance to let our elected officials know what issues are important to cities in our region and get a look at the things the Legislature could be working on next year,” said Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad. “I look forward to our discussions because events like this are a useful tool to help the City plan ahead.”
The forum is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and end around 2:15 p.m.
