The East Fork Mink Creek Nordic Center will be open for the 2015-2016 season Friday, December 4, 2015.
The season officially kicks off at 9 a.m. and the new year brings new upgrades to the Nordic Center, including roughly eight kilometers of freshly graded and smoothed trails on the upper trail system.
“This year some of our most difficult terrain is more accessible,” said Lance Clark, Outdoor Recreation Program Manager for the City of Pocatello. “We’d like to thank the Idaho Parks and Recreation Department for their generosity to help us get this project accomplished. We’d also like to thank the Pocatello Cross Country Ski Foundation for helping keep the City’s costs down by grooming the trails three nights a week.”
Trail passes, rental equipment, and season passes for the new season can be purchased at the A-Frame located at the Nordic Center Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This year kids’ lessons will be held on Saturdays in February and private lessons can be booked by contacting Lance Clark at firstname.lastname@example.org. January will see the Nordic Center host a Ski for Free Day January 9.
