Pocatello citizens made their choice known this week at the November 3 Pocatello General Election and a few familiar faces will return to their seats behind the dais.
Incumbents Jim Johnston and Steve Brown will be returning to Pocatello City Council Seats #1 and #2 while Seat #3 sees Roger Bray returning to the fold. Bray previously held Seat #5 from 2006 to 2014. When asked where they will go from here, this is what they had to say.
“I anticipate holding the course,” said Councilman Johnston “I’m very involved in the community and plan to stay involved. I also will be working on issues that will help create the best Pocatello possible.”
“I am excited to continue the budget restructuring process that we’ve put into place and look forward to implementing it during the next budget cycle,” Councilman Brown said.
“During my previous terms I was deeply involved in the budget process,” said Councilman-elect Bray. “I look forward to bringing my perspective and expertise back to the Council and the residents of Pocatello.”
Johnston, Brown, and Bray will be sworn in at the January 7, 2016 City Council meeting. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
