Victims Rights

The law provides that crime victims shall be treated fairly. Allowed to attend and be notified of court proceedings. Notified of defendants incarceration or release from jail. Avoid harassment from defendant or any representative of the defendant unless mandated by the court. Assured return of property when no longer needed as evidence. Heard upon request at court proceedings. Involved in plea bargains and sentencing.
