Hazardous Waste

All Pocatello residents are encouraged to participate in the Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHW) program. The events are held at the Bannock County Landfill on a regular basis. The HHW program gives residents a means to properly dispose of their unwanted oil, paint, pesticides, herbicides and more.

We will accept up to 5 gallons each of household wastes, such as:
  • Auto and Household Batteries
  • Cleaners
  • Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs
  • Fluorescent Tubes
  • Gas/Oil
  • Paints
  • Pesticides/Herbicides
  • Waste Auto Fluids
We will not accept:
  • AG Chemicals
  • Commercial Waste
  • Explosives
  • Leaking Containers
  • Mixed Waste
  • Unlabeled Waste
If everyone participates in this effort, we can have a positive effect on our environment and protect it for many years to come.
